Susan S. Weiner
FOUNDER AND CEO
Susan is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, visionary and mother. She founded Forging Futures to ensure that families with struggling adolescents, teens and adults have access to educational and therapeutic programs that can help them lead happy and healthy lives. Susan’s personal experiences give her perspective and insight, enabling her to help other families in times of crisis and throughout the journey.
Susan has had an extensive career in various business sectors. She has been a paralegal, a foreign exchange trader and a business executive. In 1994, Susan founded Tickets For Kids Charities, a non-profit organization that facilitates the distribution of tickets to sporting and cultural events to under-served children and their families. Forging Futures expands upon Susan’s passion and commitment to helping young people.
Susan is a licensed user of Greenwood Associates Classification System (GACS), an exclusive, data-driven process for defining the needs of struggling tweens, teens and young adults.
Susan holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Washington and Jefferson College, and a master’s degree in International Business from the Patterson School of Diplomacy. She serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Weiner Family Foundation; is on the Advisory Boards for Tickets For Kids Charities and the Adolescent Behavioral Health Initiative (ABHI) of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation. She is also a Board Member of High Mountain Institute, Leadville, Colorado.
Susan and her husband Bruce have two wonderful sons, Josh and James, a daughter-in-law, Caroline, and two grandsons, Oliver Jay and George Russell.
Maureen has been in the finance industry for more than 20 years. She worked as Manager of Finance at Leeds from 1990-2001, and then served as Office Manager for the printing company On Screen Ink between 2002-2011. In May of 2011, she started at the Longboat Group, and now serves as Office Manager for Forging Futures, as well.
